Short performance festival the Tallinn Fringe Festival, welcomes hundreds of performances from artists worldwide to Tallinn from August 18th to September 18th. The festival program has now been announced! Ticket sales start today at 12.00.

The eighth Tallinn Fringe Festival fills Tallinn's cultural clubs and venues with hundreds of short performances from Estonia and abroad. The shows range from burlesque, circus, and comedy to music, dance, theatre, and all possible mixes of these genres. The program also welcomes renowned artists Kaytlin Bailey, Richard Dale, and Matt Davis, who come to Estonia straight from the world's largest arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe.

For the second year in a row, the Fringe Festival's street program brings world-famous performers to Tallinn Town Hall, including the revolutionary Irish collective Tumble Circus, the duo Bill and Fred with their physical improvisation show as old ladies, and Irish clown Shiva Grigs with the show “The Pigeon Chaser.” The street program will take place from August 23rd to 25th.

Fringe artist and Fringe Artist’s Ambassador, Kaisa Ling praises: "The fringe phenomenon is characterised by persistence, perseverance, and resilience. Like so, the Tallinn Fringe Festival has organically grown over the past eight years. Despite global crises, economic uncertainty, and criticism, the self-curating festival's artists still bravely step onto the stage - with joy and conviction that it is possible to move the audience through art and perhaps change the world.”

Dan Renwick, the Head of Fringe Festival comments: “I am really looking forward to this year's festival, there are so many shows premiering, returning and with more performers and venues than we’ve had before. Top tip for peeps, most shows have a limited amount of super cheap tickets available at the program launch, so there’s a great reason to check out the program and start planning your Fringe now!”

Tallinn Fringe Festival is unique in its curation process. The program is curated by performers and venues, not by the festival. This allows for a diverse program, offering performances from artists in various fields and at every stage of their careers.

The eighth Tallinn Fringe Festival will take place from August 18th to September 18th. The festival program is constantly being updated. The Tallinn Fringe Festival is organised by Hoplaa MTÜ and Fringe Festival OÜ. The festival is supported by Tallinn City, the British Council, the Embassy of Ireland, and the Embassy of Australia.
