RIGA - As many as 193 Belarusian and Russian citizens have registered weapons in Latvia, LETA learned from the State Police.
This includes dour Belarusian citizens and 189 Russian citizens living in Latvia.
In total, 32,059 people have registered in Latvia, carrying 73,459 weapons, including hunting guns. Weapons have been registered for 74 citizens of other EU member states.
As reported, the new coalition parties in Estonia have resolved to adopt a ban for Russian and Belarusian citizens to carry guns in Estonia. Estonia might also consider to annul the permission to carry a gun to those people who are not loyal to the country.
