KYIV - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday signed orders on new sanctions against 185 individuals and companies harming Ukraine's interests.

The new sanctions were imposed on 51 individuals. They include, in addition to Russian citizens, citizens of Ukraine itself, as well as citizens of Latvia, Cyprus and the United Kingdom.

At the same time, 134 companies have been sanctioned, most of them on Russian territory, but some also in Russian-occupied Crimea.

The assets of the sanctioned companies in Ukraine are frozen. They are prevented from conducting trade operations in Ukraine and from transiting through its territory. Their licenses in Ukraine have been revoked.

Persons who are not citizens of Ukraine are denied entry into the territory of Ukraine.

The following Latvian citizens are among the persons subject to sanctions: Tomass Petrovskis, Sergejs Piskunovs, Jevgenijs Vorobjovs and Viktorija Vorobjova. It should be noted that Petrovskis is also a Russian citizen.
