Wabadus, Tallinn
When you are passing through Tallinn Old Town, you will most likely start or end your walk at the Freedom Square. Right next to the Freedom Square there is an old cafe-restaurant Wabadus (Wabadus means ‘freedom’ in Estonian). It’s a cozy and convenient place perfect for smaller and private meetings, but also a very suitable restaurant for bigger events.
The restaurant offers a wide range of modern dishes thoroughly prepared by chef Fred Ehand and a wide selection of hot drinks (yes, also matcha!), sweetest cakes and a rich a la carte menu in an affordable price range. The menu changes twice a year according to the season, so that the best local products available at that time could be offered to you.
The locals claim that Wabadus has the best goat cheese salad in Tallinn, but many also recommend the chicken-avocado salad with pomegranate, honey, aged tomatoes and honey. Wabadus also offers solutions for vegetarians: carrot steak with kohlrabi, wild broccoli, Kongo chips and tomato sauce. If you are looking for something lighter, the creamy and spicy pumpkin soup will be perfect!
Whenever in Old Town, step by and choose a favorite dish of your own. The address is 10 Vabaduse Valjak 10. You can contact the restaurant by calling (+372) 6604019 or via email [email protected].
