Wages in Latvia saw steepest rise among Baltic states

In real terms, wages in Latvia increased by 4.8 percent, which is the steepest rise among the Baltic states, said the International Labor Organization (ILO) in its annual Global Wage Report. ILO data suggest that wages increased by 4.7 percent in Lithuania and by 2.8 percent in Estonia. The steepest wage rises in Europe and Central Asia were registered in Ukraine (19.1 percent), Romania (12.8 percent), Armenia (11.8 percent), Bulgaria (10.5 percent) and Hungary (10.3 percent).
