Von der Leyen to visit Estonia on Monday

TALLINN – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Estonia on Monday, Oct. 10 to meet with President Alar Karis and Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, attend the Tallinn Digital Summit and visit the northeastern border city Narva.

Von der Leyen will visit the Memorial to the Victims of Communism at Maarjamae, Tallinn with Prime Minister Kaja Kallas. Von der Leyen and Kallas will open the Tallinn Digital Summit at Tallinn Creative Hub, spokespeople for the Estonian government said.

In Narva, the Commission president and the prime minister of Estonia will visit the Kreenholmi Manufaktuur former industrial compound and speak at a Just Transition Plan gratitude event at  Narva Art Residency. At the event, the expectations concerning the implementation of the plan will be discussed with stakeholders.
