Namejs, the comprehensive national defence exercise organised by the National Armed Forces, is held annually throughout Latvia. This year it will take place till 8 October. In support of the local soldiers and national guards, the energy commodities trader and convenience store network AS VIRŠI-A (hereinafter - Virši) invites you to recharge your batteries by enjoying freshly roasted coffee from special National Guard mugs with the motif "My Latvia - My Responsibility".
"Comprehensive national defence is based on the continuous, ongoing efforts of all state institutions, municipalities, individuals, and businesses. At a time when Latvia is conducting the comprehensive national defence exercise NAMEJS, which trains and enhances the cooperation of all parties involved in national defence, public support and involvement are very important. Therefore, thank you to the company “Virši” for joining the National Guard initiative 'My Latvia. My Responsibility,' which reminds every Latvian citizen of our individual responsibility to protect Latvia and everything we hold dear," says Latvian National Guard Commander Brigadier General Kaspars Pudāns.
During the exercises, Virši stores will offer the opportunity to drink coffee from special National Guard mugs, aiming to encourage residents to reflect on how we can each take an even more active role and help strengthen Latvia's internal and external security. To raise awareness about the course of the exercises, information materials about them will be displayed on all fuel pump screens at Virši service stations.
"It is important to encourage society to think about how each of us can play a more active role and work together to strengthen national defence. Only by acting together, recognising our individual responsibilities and opportunities, can we make Latvia stronger and safer for everyone. For this reason, it is important for us, as a local capital company, to be involved in strengthening our country and informing its citizens," says Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Board of Virši.
For the second year in a row, Virši actively supports the comprehensive national defence exercises Namejs by implementing a special initiative - the National Guard Mug Campaign. This year, information channels of the "Virši" network are joining the campaign - information about the exercises will also be displayed in the territory and premises of service stations.
This cooperation not only promotes public involvement and understanding of the importance of national defence, but also gives everyone the opportunity to support National guards and soldiers and their important work for Latvia's security. The campaign demonstrates the commitment of Virši to national security and promotes patriotism in society.
