Today, on 5 December, after extensive reconstruction works, energy commodities trader and convenience store network AS VIRŠI-A (hereinafter – Virši) service station in Sarkandaugava, at Tvaika iela 3, has been opened. The Company invested a total of EUR 1.5 million in the reconstruction of the station, which involved the construction of a new building, replacement of fuel tanks and modernisation of the station area.

“The opening of the new Sarkandaugava overpass and the increase in traffic that followed encouraged us to carry out major reconstruction of our Sarkandaugava station. We are delighted that after six months of work, another modern, energy-efficient and customer-friendly Virši power station has opened its doors to customers. We are also actively continuing the network expansion work in other locations in Riga and Pierīga. We have recently opened a new station near Olaine, we plan to open a new station on Viskaļu iela in Riga by the end of the year, and in November and December the construction process starts for new stations in Sigulda and near Salaspils,” says Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Board of Virši.

The newly opened station in Sarkandaugava will be open 24 hours a day and will provide everything drivers and their companions need. The full-service station with an adjacent 86 sq.m sales hall will provide customers with a wide range of fuel products, windshield fluid, as well as a diverse assortment of beverages, snacks and car products.
