TALLINN - The Vilnius-Riga-Tartu-Tallinn train is delayed on Tuesday as a drone threat alert has halted rail traffic in northern Latvia.

The train, which departed from Vilnius on Tuesday morning, is currently stopped in Cesis and will resume its journey once the alert is lifted.

"Passengers on the 10:51 a.m. train from Tallinn (Tallinn-Tartu-Riga-Vilnius) will travel by train to Valga, where they will have to wait for the Vilnius train arriving from Cesis," said Kristo Mae, communications manager at Elron. "On the Valga-Tartu section, the journey will be substituted with a bus or another train, depending on the schedule."

Elron will refund the ticket price for delays of 30 minutes or more. To receive compensation, passengers must fill out the refund form on the Elron website: https://elron.pilet.ee/et/tagastus.

Elron apologizes for any inconvenience caused to passengers.
