RIGA - During the first six months of 2020, terminals operating at the northwestern Latvian port of Ventspils reloaded 6.8 million tons of cargo, which is a decrease of 41.1 percent against the respective period a year ago, according to the information published by the Ventspils port.
Of the cargo handled by the port's terminals in the six months, liquid cargo accounted for 4.492 tons, down 10.8 percent from the respective period in previous year. Bulk cargo shrank 5.1 times to 1.019 million tons and general cargo rose 1.5 percent to 1.289 million tons.
