RIGA - In his New Year greetings to the nation, President Raimonds Vejonis said that the new year must come with new goals, more confidence in oneself and more courage in making decisions.
The president reminded that awaiting the new year is a tradition which united the whole world and all of its people. ''This is a moment when we look back at what we have achieved, while at the same time wishing our close one's good health, success and prosperity,'' he said.
