RIGA - As of this Tuesday, June 1, cosmetologists and cosmeticians are allowed to resume their services provided that they have a Covid-19 vaccination certificate, Health Ministry representative Jana Feldmane informed at a news conference Monday.
The ministry representative said that under the regulations adopted by the Saeima last week, provision of beauty care services can resume in line with government regulations on epidemiological safety.
In Feldmane's words, one of the conditions on which the provision of beauty care services can be resumes is the proof of the Covid-19 vaccination fact.
Feldmane said that the National Health Service will make a digital Covid-19 vaccination certificate available as of this Tuesday.
According to information posted on the National Health Service's website, Latvia's digital Covid-19 certificate will be launched on June 1 at a special website where persons will be able to access and verify digital certificates and their QR codes.
In mid-June, a mobile app, Covid-19 Verify, will be launched for scanning the certificates.
