RIGA - European Parliament member, former Riga mayor Nils Usakovs (Harmony) does not rule out cooperation with Saeima member Ainars Slesers (Latvia First).
Usakovs told TV3 television today that he "would support the idea of consolidating political forces."
At the same time, Usakovs said that it would be too soon to speak about cooperation.
"At the moment, it would be too optimistic to talk about partnering up with another political force," said Usakovs, saying that his party would consider further action at its upcoming congress.
Usakovs told TV3 that it was no secret that he had known Slesers for a long time and they had worked together in the past.
Slesers said earlier that he could join forces with Usakovs, saying that one of the goals would be to "unite the nation."
