US’s Intermedix to shut down operations in Lithuania, lay off another 300 people

Intermedix, a US-owned healthcare IT company that has a service center in Kaunas, is planning to lay off more than 300 employees and shut down its operations in Lithuania, according to the country's Employment Service.  "Intermedix Lietuva has given notice to 308 employees because it is ceasing activities in Lithuania," the service said in its monthly report for January.  Lukas Jankauskas, the director of Intermedix Lietuva's service center, says, however, that the company has not yet made a final decision to exit Lithuania.&...
