Latvian Television reported that Unity is planning to rename the party New Unity and put forward European Parliament Member Krisjanis Karins as its PM candidate.
LTV reported that Unity will form a party union together with three regional parties - For Kuldiga Region, For Valmiera and Vidzeme and For Tukums and Region.
It is not yet known whether the Latgale Party will join the political union.
New Unity will have a new logo, but its party colors will remain fluorescent green.
