The unexpected provisions in the new teachers wage model are a clear indication of poor administration, said Latvian Chief Ombudsman Juris Jansons in an interview with the Latvian public television on Tuesday, July 12. The Latvian government on July 5 adopted the new teachers’ wage model that should come into force on Sept. 1 this year.
