RIGA - In 2015, 98,200 persons in Latvia, aged 15 to 74, were unemployed, the Central Statistical Bureau reported. Compared to 2014, the number of unemployed persons has decreased by 9,500 or 8.8 per cent. Last year, unemployment rate in Latvia accounted for 9.9 per cent or 0.9 per centage points less than in 2014.
The unemployment rate among women still is lower than among men — 8.6 per cent and 11.1 per cent, respectively.
