According to Latvia’s State Employment Agency, the registered level of unemployment in the country decrease by 0.1 percentage point to 9.1 percent within the economically active population.
At the beginning of March 2016, there were 85,414 people in registered as employed with the State Employment Agency in comparison to the 86,581 not in work at the end of February.
The Riga region had the lowest unemployment level in late March at 5.7 percent, while the eastern Latgale province had the highest at 19.1 percent.
