Uldis Tatarcuks appointed board chairman of Tet telecommunications group

RIGA - Supervisory board of Tet telecommunications company has appointed Uldis Tatarcuks the company's executive director and executive board chairman, LETA learned from the company.

Recruitment company Amrop's Riga office was attracted to select the candidate for the position.

Tet supervisory board chairman Klavs Vasks said that the supervisory board was unanimous in its decision on Tatarcuks.

"He has proved himself in work at the company's board, and also during the selection process demonstrated a strong future development vision and its implementation in the company significant for Latvia's economy and development," said Vasks.

Starting from December 2020, Tatarcuks was acting executive director and board chairman, but before than he has been a board member and chief technological director for almost ten years. Before Tet, he was a board chairman, board member and commercial director in Citrus Solutions.

The company's board still includes Gusts Muzikants, Ingrida Rone and Gints Bukovskis.

As reported, Tet posted EUR 178.293 million in turnover in 2020 and EUR 30.078 million in profit. The concern's turnover last year reached EUR 222.644 million, while profit reached EUR 30.389 million.

Tet shareholders are the Latvian state (51 percent) and Scandinavian telecommunications group Telia Company’s subsidiary Tilts Communications (49 percent). Tet Group includes Tet, Citrus Solutions, Lattelecom Technology, Helio Media and Baltijas Datoru Akademija. Tet owns a 23 percent stake in Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT) mobile operator.
