VILNIUS - Ukrainian Social Policy Minister Maryna Lazebna arrived in Lithuania on Tuesday night, accompanied by a group of Ukrainian children with disabilities, Lithuanian Minister of Social Security and Labor Monika Navickienė said.

"We talked about their relocation back in Kyiv when we visited it together with Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte. Today, the children are already here in Kaunas, Lithuania," Navickiene posted on her Facebook account.

On Wednesday, the Lithuanian and Ukrainian ministers are set to sign a joint statement condemning the bills Russia is drafting to simplify the adoption in Russia of Ukrainian children displaced from Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Some 54,000 Ukrainians have arrived in Lithuania since the war started, and they include 21,400 minors.
