The Lithuanian Presidential Office confirmed that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will visit Lithuania on December.

Poroshenko will be also accompanied by Culture Minister Vyacheslav Kyrylenko, and Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak.

During his meeting with Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, Poroshenko is set to discuss the security situation in Ukraine, Kremlin aggression, and the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

According to Renaldas Vaisbrodas, Grybauskaite’s foreign policy adviser EU-Ukraine relations would also be discussed during the meeting.

"Ukraine is at the finish line in terms of taking necessary steps to join the visa-free regime with the EU," Vaisbrodas told BNS.

The Ukrainian and Lithuanian presidents will also speak about the potential effect of the EU-Ukrainian free trade agreement, due to come into force in 2016.

They will also discuss the state of the Ukrainian economy, plus Lithuania's humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine.

Poroshenko is also scheduled to meet with Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas, Loreta Grauziniene, and Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius.
