Ukrainian PM Denys Shmyhal to make official visit to Latvia today

RIGA - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is due to arrive in Latvia on an official visit today, LETA was told at the State Chancellery.

In Latvia, Shmyhal is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Evika Silina (New Unity). The talks of the two countries' prime ministers are expected to focus on support to Ukraine in its fight against Russia's aggression and closer economic and defense cooperation between Latvia and Ukraine.

Later, the Ukrainian prime minister will have meetings with President Edgars Rinkevics and Saeima Speaker Daiga Mierina (Greens/Farmers), as well as visit the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia.
