Ukrainian parliamentary vice-speaker visiting Lithuania

VILNIUS – Olena Kondratiuk, deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is visiting Lithuania at the invitation of Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen, speaker of the Seimas, this week to mark the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

On Monday, Kondratiuk is to meet with Cmilyte-Nielsen and members of the Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs, ministers and other officials, the speaker's office has told BNS.

The meetings will focus on the Lithuanian parliament's support and assistance to Ukraine, its needs and integration efforts toward EU membership, and the issues of Ukrainians who have taken refuge in Lithuania, it said.

Further parliamentary cooperation and efforts to maintain international unity in support of Ukraine will also be discussed.

The Ukrainian parliamentary delegation's visit to Lithuania is scheduled for February 25 through 27.
