Total value of real estate in Lithuania exceeds EUR 100 b

VILNIUS - The total value of real estate registered and valued in Lithuania exceeds 100 billion euros, the Centre of Registers said on Tuesday, adding that the average market value of all real property of the country increased by almost 8 percent compared with a year ago. 

The market value of all buildings in the country rose by 5 percent on average, driven up mostly by increased demand due to economic growth and positive demographic trends, the center said in a press release. 

The market value of apartments across the country rose by 7 percent on average in 2018 compared with 2017 and the value of single-family houses was up by 4-5 percent on average. 

The average market value of commercial and administrative real estate increased by 3 percent and that of registered and valued land plots was up by 8 percent.
