RIGA - President Raimonds Vejonis, Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis, and other top state officials have praised Latvian paralympian Aigars Apinis, who earned gold yesterday in the discus throw at the Paralympic Games in Rio.
Vejonis posted on Twitter that he is proud of Apinis' achievements and congratulates him on winning yet another medal.
The prime minister also congratulated Apinis on his victory at the Paralympic Games.
