Out of the bunch of candidates to head a new Latvian government following the parliamentary election in early October, the selection has boiled down to three possible candidatures: Aldis Gobzems, Artis Pabriks and Janis Bordans.
Gobzems is from KPV LV, Pabriks represents For Development/For and Bordans is from the New Conservative Party.
On October 25, they submitted to the Constitution Protection Bureau (SAB) documents necessary for vetting them for top-level security clearances, which they would need to access state secrets.
