RIGA - The first set of triplets in Latvia this year were born at Riga Maternity Hospital on Thursday, the hospital's spokeswoman Baiba Auzane informed LETA.
The three babies, born to the Simanis family from Valmiera, include a girl, weighing 1,080 grams at birth, and two boys, weighing 1,280 grams and 1,070 grams, respectively.
As the representative of Riga Maternity Hospital informed, the triplets are awaited at home by four sisters and a brother.
