RIGA - There are no reason to look for some hidden reasons for my departure as State Police chief, the now former State Police Chief Ints Kuzis told the TV3 this morning.
Asked how large of a role current Interior Minister Sandis Girgens (KPV LV) played in his departure, Kurzis said that governments change and each minister comes with his or her own vision, which is completely normal.
"But there is clearly a set of objective and subjective factors here... The minister's reasoning should also be looked at, but I am not saying that was the main reason I left," Kuzis stressed.
He understood that the construction of the new police structure had to be handed over to a new person, but his job was to prepare for this ''leap''.
Asked about his future plans, Kuzis stressed that he had no specific plans at the moment, saying that he first has to deal with some personal matters.
As reported, State Police chief Ints Kuzis announced his resignation at the end of last year. February 10 was his last day in the position.
Kuzis had served as State Police chief since 2011.
