TALLINN - The Burman, a hotel opened in Tallinn's Old Town this spring, has been awarded a 5***** Superior hotel rating, while its restaurants Shang Shi and Koyo have been included in the main selection of the Michelin Guide.
Bombay Group invested 75 million euros in the completion of the unique 5,000-square-meter hotel, restaurant, and entertainment complex.
"Our goal is to be the most highly regarded destination in the entire region, and that is exactly the direction we are moving towards step by step. Without a doubt, The Burman fully meets all the international requirements for a Superior 5-star rating," said Dajana Tiitsaar, who manages the daily operations of Bombay Group.
"In addition to its modernity, Tallinn offers plenty of privacy, while also serving as an excellent hub for exploring the Nordic and Baltic countries," Tiitsaar added.
Bombay Group restaurants, Shang Shi, which offers Cantonese cuisine, and Koyo, an omakase restaurant, have been included in the main selection of the newly published Michelin Guide Estonia 2025.
In addition to the 17-room hotel and the Bombay Club, which offers classic casino games, the complex also houses three unique top-class restaurants: Écrin, Koyo and Shang Shi, the Maison Francois bakery, which is open from early morning, the Fox Den whiskey and wine bar, a cigar lounge, The Peacock Lounge cocktail bar, and the Velvet music club.
Located in the immediate vicinity of Town Hall Square, the complex underwent a thorough renovation that meticulously followed all heritage protection requirements down to the smallest detail, lasting over five years.
