Otto K. Schwarz, an Estonian composer – his album “ A Living Flow ” was in iTunes top-10 last year – and a co-founder of one of the leading Western Europe’s sound design companies – has basked in the limelight of the year’s Cannes Film Festival – the soundtrack for the buzz-generator film “S.O.S.: Survive or Sacrifice ”, with the celebrity actor William Baldwin starring in one of the leading roles, was written by him.

“Indeed, it is a big recognition – not only to me as the composer and the business co-founder, but also to a small country like Estonia,” Otto K. Schwarz in August told The Baltic Times Magazine.

The film was released at the end of last year, and the official screening in Cannes took place on July 9, 2021 at the Arcades Cinema.

It was The Cannes Film Festival that saw the official screening of “S.O.S.: Survive or Sacrifice ”.

William Baldwin has been known for his role in “Backdraft” and Jeannine Kaspar for her role in “Iron Man.”

The music for the film was emphasized in Cannes and highly appreciated especially in the US. For example, Liz Romanoff, CEO of distribution company Vision Films, noted that the film has a "compelling soundtrack", while the film critic Danny Templegod pointed out that "musically the film has dramatic moments and ramps up the tension”.

Despite the fact that Otto is a successful composer, he has extensive experience in international projects , mainly innovation and finance.

In 2020, he started the EAT BEAT startup company in Estonia. EAT BEAT is a revolutionary AI-based health-tech mobile application providing a longer and happier life for every human.

The app collects data of a person’s micro-nutrition, lifestyle and habits, providing the client a “lifetime status” in a real-time regime.

EAT Beat was approved by the Estonian Startup Commitee and was included in the official Estonian Startup Database. The project is supported by two major Estonian supermarket retail chains and has several strong science and IT partners.

In the beginning of 2022 the project will start on the Estonian market and then expand across Europe.

The film, S.O.S.: Survive or Sacrifice ”, is certainly worth your time. The plot revolves around sisters living separately on different continents and then getting reunited on a Mediterranean Island.

The two barely have time to bond and revive family ties as Kate, the elder, meets a group of locals and agrees to an exciting ride in a hot air balloon. But disaster strikes and as the result of a freak accident, the balloon is carried far out to sea. Their cell phones out of range, and the balloon running out of gas, Kate and her friends are battling for their lives. While, back on land, the younger sister, Liz, has become an unwanted "material witness" to a crime. Matters then take a dramatic twist, one that will mark their lives forever…
