Tallink Grupp announced in early March, that in addition to opening the Burger King fast food restaurant in Tallinn’s Balti Jaam train station’s waiting pavilion, Tallink Ekspress shop would also be opened at the same location. Due to the emergency situation, however, the store's online services are launched first instead.
The purchases made via Tallink Ekspress webshop can be picked up contact free in Tallinn, from the shop’s pick-up center located in Tallinn at 19 Uus-Sadama Street, and residents of Tallinn and Viimsi rural municipality can also order the purchases to their doorstep, using Tallink Takso taxi service home delivery.
"Even though we plan to open Tallink Ekspress shop in the Balti Jaam waiting pavilion building as soon as the restrictions allow us to do so, the swiftly changed shopping habits of customers and steep growth in the figures of shopping via the Internet, have presented us with the opportunity to open the Tallink Ekspress as a webshop already today," Katre Kovask, Tallink Grupp’s head of onshore retail said.
The first retail shop of Tallink Ekspress located at the Balti Jaam waiting pavilion building will be opened by the company once the current restrictions allow the company to do so.
