Survey shows half of young people in Latvia ready to work for less than minimum wage

RIGA - Half of young people in Latvia are ready to work for less than the minimum wage, according to data provided by “Cvmarket.lv”. The head of the “CV Keskus OU Latvia” subsidiary, Renate Ziverte, informed LETA that more than 50 percent of those looking a job, aged 18-25, indicate in their applications that they would be ready to work for EUR 100 to EUR 360 a month, which is less than the minimum wage in Latvia - EUR 360 from January 1. Compared with Estonian youth, where only 14 percent are willing to work for less than the minimum wage...
