Strelcenoks' term ends; Jurca takes charge as interim KNAB chief

RIGA - Jaroslavs Strelcenoks' term as Corruption Prevention Bureau (KNAB) head ended Thursday. Prime Minister Maris Kucinskis (Greens/Farmers) has named the bureau's Deputy Chief Ilze Jurca its interim chief. None of the 10 candidates competing for the position of the KNAB chief were chosen for the second round of the tender meaning that the tender concluded without a result.
