RIGA - Considering the epidemiological situation in Latvia brought about by the Coronavirus-19 pandemic, Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital (Stradins Hospital) is temporarily suspending the provision of outpatient and scheduled services as of next Monday, LETA was told at the hospital.
The hospital's representatives will contact all patients who have appointments, checkups or surgeries scheduled at Stradins Hospital after March 23.
The hospital's specialists will continue to provide face-to-face consultations and services to several groups of patients like cancer, transplant and neonatal patients, as well as patients needing invasive manipulations and chronic patients in need of uninterrupted therapy.
The hospital's administration informed that the temporary suspension also applies to paid medical services.
Visits of hospitalized patients' relatives are also banned at the hospital as a measure of prevention aimed at keeping the Covid-19 infection away.
