State Revenue Service discovers over a ton of smuggled hashish

RIGA - The state Revenue Service has confiscated 1115 kilograms of hashish in a huge drug trafficking case, which in the black market would be worth around eight to twelve million euros, said the officials of State Revenue Service on Wednesday. According the initial report from the Latvian newspaper, Diena, this is one of the biggest drug smuggling cases in Latvia. The director of the Customs Police Department, Edijs Ceipe, told Diena that most of the drugs were meant for the Russian market and were hidden in a citrus fruit cargo, which was prepared for the Latvian market...
