Squadron of Japanese ships arrive on first visit to Lithuania

The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Training Squadron arrived in the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda on Monday, Aug. 8, on the first visit of Japanese warships to Lithuania. The three warships came in celebration of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Japan, Lithuania’s Defense Ministry said. According to the press release, Japan’s representatives expected to visit Klaipeda, Kaunas, Vilnius, and Medininkai. The vessels were open for public visits on Tuesday and Wednesday.
