Spending by foreigners in Lithuania grows 4 per cent

Foreign tourists and other visitors from abroad spent a total of 1.095 billion Euros in Lithuania last year, up by 4 per cent, from 1.053 billion Euros spent in 2015, data from Statistics Lithuania showed. Spending by foreign travellers with at least one overnight stay increased by an annual 5 per cent to 806.4 million Euros and spending by same-day foreign tourists was up by 1.3 per cent to 288.6 million Euros, the office said. The total number of incoming trips with overnight stays grew by 10.8 per cent to 2.296 million in 2016 year-on-year, while private trips with at least one overnight...
