VILNIUS - A total of 220 medical workers in Lithuania have tested positive for the coronavirus so far and 51 of them have recovered, an epidemiologist from the National Public Health Center (NPHC) said on Monday.
"There are 220 medical workers who have tested positive for COVID-19, and around 1,200 are in self-isolation," Daiva Razmuviene told a news conference.
"Fifty-one medical workers have recovered," she added.
There are 30 coronavirus hotspots in Lithuania, including around ten in health institutions, according to Razmuviene.
Lithuania's total count of confirmed coronavirus cases reached 1,326 on Monday morning. Thirty-seven people have died of the virus in the country so far, and 242 have been confirmed to have recovered.
