Skoda Vagonka has started manufacturing new electric trains for Latvia

RIGA - Electric train manufacturer Skoda Vagonka has started manufacturing electric trains to be delivered to Latvia, Transport Minister Talis Linkaits (New Conservative Party) told reporters at a press conference on Wednesday. The deadline for train delivery remains unchanged, and the first new trains could start running in Latvia in May 2022, therefore next year the Transport Ministry will be actively monitoring the train production process, while joint-stock company Pasazieru Vilciens (Passenger Train) is preparing for certification of the new trains, said Linkaits....
