Siauliu Bankas steals show on Vilnius bourse this week

VILNIUS - Siauliu Bankas stole the show on the Nasdaq Vilnius stock exchange in the outgoing week, with over 1.3 million euros' worth of shares in the blue-chip bank changing hands, and Grigeo and Apranga also attracted some trading interest, but otherwise activity was low.

The OMX Vilnius index closed the week 0.55 percent lower at 711.87 points. The OMX Baltic Benchmark index edged up 0.03 percent to 980.15 points, but the OMX Baltic 10 index of the ten most liquid Baltic stocks ticked down 0.12 percent to 227.17 points.

Siauliu Bankas, quoted on the blue-chip Main List, climbed 1.19 percent to 0.510 euros in trades worth 1.308 million euros.

Paper producer Grigeo firmed 1.06 percent to 1.430 euros in trades worth 124,800 euros, but clothes retailer Apranga eased 0.85 percent to 2.340 euros in trades worth 56,300 euros. 

Telecoms company Telia Lietuva dropped 1.31 percent to 1.130 euros in trades worth 47,600 euros and energy terminals operator Klaipedos Nafta was off 0.38 percent to 0.522 euros in trades worth 27,300 euros.

Other stocks did not cross the 20,000-euro mark in turnover.

The market's weekly share turnover totaled 2.657 million euros, including 2.57 million euros for the Main List's stocks.
