Saulius Bajarūnas to become chief executive of FL Technics

Saulius Bajarūnas has been appointed chief executive of international aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services provider FL Technics, part of Avia Solutions Group. He will assume the role on 1 September 2026.

Bajarūnas has served as FL Technics' chief operating officer for the past eight years and will now take responsibility for the company's global operations and strategic development. He succeeds long-serving chief executive Žilvinas Lapinskas, who recently became chief executive of Avia Solutions Group.

In his new role, Bajarūnas will focus on improving operational efficiency, expanding the company's service portfolio and strengthening long-term customer relationships.

Over more than two decades, FL Technics has grown into one of the region's largest independent MRO providers. The company now operates aircraft maintenance and repair hangars in Europe, the Americas and Asia, provides line maintenance services, and serves airlines, leasing companies and other aircraft operators worldwide.

Over the past decade, FL Technics' revenue has nearly quadrupled, rising from $105.3mn in 2016 to $405.2mn in 2025.
