Sanctions on Belarus unlikely to be extended, says Linkevicius

Lithuania's Foreign Minister, Linas Linkevicius, predicts that the European Union is unlikely to extend its sanctions on Belarus. The issue is set to be on the agenda of a meeting of EU Foreign Ministers, which will take place on February 15, 2016. "For the sanctions for Belarus to be extended, a unified stance of all 28 countries will be needed,” Linkevicius told BNS Lithuania. “My prediction is that there will be no unified stance. Some countries have stated publicly against extension of sanctions on Belarus.” ...
