RIGA - Latvia’s parliament, the Saeima, at an extraordinary meeting on Monday adopted the national budget for 2016 and the medium-term budget framework for 2016–2018 in the final reading.
The 100-member parliament adopted next year’s budget with 61 votes for and 34 votes against.
“We did it,” wrote Saeima MP Ojars Kalnins on his Facebook page. “It took 11 hours to divide up 7.6 billion euros. Latvia’s budget for 2016.”
