RIGA - Saeima today rejected the opposition's motion of no confidence against Transport Minister Talis Linkaits (Conservatives).
28 Saeima members supported the motion, 51 were against and two abstained.
The motion of no confidence was filed by the Greens/Farmers MPs Uldis Augulis, Armands Krauze, Janis Vucans, Gundars Daudze, Janina Jalinska, Viktors Valainis, Janis Duklavs un Romans Naudins, as well as Latvia First deputy Ramona Petravica and For Her And Him deputy Karina Sprude.
Augulis previously explained that the motion had been tabled because of Linkaits' underperformance in administration of transport and acquisition of private property by the state at Bikernieki Sports Complex.
