Saeima Foreign Affairs Committee's head to visit United States

RIGA - In order to underline Europe's unwavering and stalwart support for Ukraine, Saeima Foreign Affairs Committee's Chairwoman Inara Murniece (National Alliance) will be visiting Washington D.C. until December 18 as a member of the United for Ukraine delegation, Saeima informed LETA.

During the working visit, Estonian, Italian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Finnish, Spanish and Ukrainian parliaments foreign affairs committees' heads will meet with U.S. officials, policymakers and think tank leaders to discuss multilateral financial, military and political support for Ukraine.

The visit will give an opportunity for the heads of the parliaments' foreign affairs committees to express their unequivocal support for Ukraine, as well as to strengthen transatlantic cooperation in the light of challenges faced by Europe and the world, says Murniece.
