Russian aircraft violates Estonian airspace

The Estonian Foreign Ministry has sent a protest note to Russia following an incursion into Estonian airspace by a plane of the Russian armed forces on Tuesday. A Russian Antonov An-26 entered Estonian airspace without permission near Vaindloo Island at 9:51 a.m. on Tuesday, military spokespeople in Tallinn said. The plane spent less than one minute in Estonian airspace. Its transponder was on and it had submitted a flight plan according to which it was to fly in international airspace.
