Rinkevics together with Baltic counterparts to make a solidarity visit to Ukraine

RIGA - On February 24 and 25, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Eva Maria Liimets, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landbergis, will make a visit to Ukraine to demonstrate solidarity and support for Ukraine at the time when Russia has launched yet another serious attack on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, LETA was informed by the Foreign Ministry.

Meetings have been scheduled for the Ministers with the President of Ukraine, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian Parliament, the Prime Minister, and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense.

The Baltic States’ ministers and senior Ukrainian officials will discuss the current security situation and possibilities for the international community to assist Ukraine with enhancing its resilience and stabilization of the economic situation. The Foreign Ministers will also present information on designing and enforcement of the European Union sanctions against Russia in response to Russia’s aggression.
