Next year hydrogen-powered trolleybuses might start running in the streets of Riga, said Vadims Baranninks (Harmony), the chairman of the Riga City Council traffic and transport affairs committee.
Rigas Satiksme municipal transport company has announced a tender on purchase of 10 new hydrogen-powered trolleybuses. The tender will end in July. The goal of such a procurement is to reduce emissions.
Co-financing in the innovation project has also been allocated by the EU. Baranniks said that the source of the co-financing is the Connecting Europe Facility ...
