The Baltic Times (TBT): What is Riga Sightseeing?
Dmitry Jeroshenko. Sales & Marketing Manager: Riga Sightseeing is a brand which includes different types of services. Initially our company specialises in Riga walking tours only. Nowadays, the main direction is bus tours, which are the best way to explore the main sights and attractions of Riga in timely manner. Tours are provided with audio guides in ten languages. Our range of services has expanded since 2013; we now offer river cruises and canal boat trips.

What are the products and services Riga Sightseeing provides to its B2C or perhaps also B2B customers?
Sightseeing bus tours in Riga, tours to Rundale Palace and Sigulda Castle, walking tours, river cruises, canal boat trips. For the B2B market segment, private tours, transfers, hotel and tour bookings.

What are the unique services of Riga Sightseeing?
Riga Sightseeing is the convenient and cheapest way to explore the city. Riga Sightseeing provides you with the option to create your own tour package depending on your interests and amount of time that you have. We have open-top double-decker buses that provide an unforgettable experience to our guests in the summer time.

How has Riga Sightseeing reacted to the weak ruble and the Russian sanctions?
We don’t have any statistics that tracks the nationality of our customers. Our profitability  and sales grew compared to the previous year, therefore, I can suggest, that the weak ruble and the Russian sanctions didn’t startle Russian tourists. They are still visiting Riga and using our services.

What marketing actions Riga Sightseeing hase been running to keep Russian clients attracted to the brand?
Working in the tourism industry, we attract foreign companies and tour operators for partnerships. In the next couple of months we are planning to establish cooperation with cruise operators. And of course, social media marketing helps us to inform our potential clients about the services we provide.

How would you describe the state of the economic environment in Latvia at this beginning of 2015?
The living standards in the Baltics have increased. Availability of employment is becoming higher, salaries are growing. The only thing people are afraid of is political instability.

What do customers, Latvian, Europeans and International customers say about your company?
We have not conducted any official research to date, but the feedback we get from our customers reflects satisfaction. We have reached such understandings based on the positive feedback left on the online selling platforms and the feedback at the end of our tours. In addition, we also have returning customers.

What are the current special offers, events, projects or challenges your company will take on this year 2015?
This summer we are establishing a partnership with companies that provide entertainment: bowling, cinema, billiards, bike rents etc. More special offers and promotions are to come in the upcoming months. Moreover, we are renewing our fleet with more comfortable and modern buses. When it comes to creating new products and services, we will be designing new tours and attractions.
