Riga Marathon postponed until later date

RIGA - The annual Rimi Riga Marathon, originally scheduled for mid-May, has been postponed until a later date, the marathon's organizers announced Tuesday. The marathon has been postpones until after the state of emergency has been lifted in connection with the Covid-19 outbreak in the country. The marathon was initially scheduled for May 16-17. The Riga Marathon has taken place annually since 1991. In 2019, the marathon gathered a total of 38,398 runners, including 4,632 foreigners from 82 countries.
